Don’t overeat


If you want to live to 100, leaving a little bit of food on your plate may be a good idea. Author Dan Burnett, who studies longevity around the world, found that the oldest Japanese people stop eating when they are feeling only about 80% full.

St. Louis University researchers have confirmed that eating less helps you age slower; in a 2008 study they found that limiting calories lowered production of T3, a thyroid hormone that slows metabolism—and speeds up the aging process.

Turn off the TV


Too much time in front of the tv can take a serious toll on your health. In fact, a 2010 study found that people who watched four or more hours a day were 46% more likely to die from any cause than people who watched less than two hours a day.

Even cutting back a little can help; each additional hour you watch increases your overall risk of dying by 11% and dying from heart disease by 18%.

Stay out of the sun


Avoiding too much sun can head off skin cancer, and it can also keep you looking young by preventing wrinkles, fine lines, and saggy skin.

It’s never too early—or too late—to add sun screen to your daily skin-care regimen (look for an SPF of 30 or higher). And don’t focus only on your face. Sun damage spots and splotches on your chest and neck will also make you appear older.

  4. Understand that a majority of your height will be predetermined by genetics. That’s not to say that you can’t grow tall if you have parents who are on the shorter side; it just means that having shorter parents means you’re more likely to be on the short side.
  5. Try not to stunt your growth.   6. Expect to be in your twenties when you stop growing.   1. Have a good posture. Always stand straight instead of hunching your back. Spread out your shoulders slightly towards the back. Having a good posture will make you look much taller!
  2. wear tighter clothes. Tighter clothes accentuate the lines of your body. If you wear baggy clothes, those lines disappear, making you look smaller. Wear slim-fitting clothes that make you feel good about yourself, however, not ones you’re nervous about wearing or uncomfortable in.
  3. Enhance your height. You can always wear high-heels. Avoid wearing flats or flip-flops. Instead, wear shoes with heels.
  4. Show the best features of your body. If you have long legs, wear shorts or mini-skirts to highlight your legs. Try to avoid wearing leg warmers or leggings which will visually shorten your legs and make you look shorter.
  5. Wear dark colored clothes. Sometimes, looking taller is all about looking slimmer. If you’re able to look slimmer, there’s a good chance you’ll also look taller. Colors like black, dark blue, and forest green can all contribute to looking both slimmer and taller, especially if you go dark on both the top and the bottom.

Banana and blueberry smoothie
Ingredients :-  ripe banana, 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, 1 cup low fat milk, 1 small tub vanilla yogurt (125 gm), 1/4 cup oat’s, 1 tbsp honey.

Recipe method 

  •  Blend all ingredients together.
  • Serve in chilled glasses.
  • Sprinkle oat’s on the top of smoothie.

Adversity in childhood, such as bereavement, neglect, mental abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse and unequal parental treatment of siblings can contribute to depression in adulthood. Childhood physical or sexual abuse in particular significantly correlates with the likelihood of experiencing depression over the life course.
